The main objectives of NanoAthero project are the following:

Development of biodegradable Nanoparticles with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidants for targeted treatment of vulnerable plaques.
Construction of an innovative in-vitro atherosclerotic model using a bioreactor system.
Toxicological tests and preclinical studies of nanoparticles for application in clinical studies.

Work Plan
